*About Us*

I am Kimberly Dixon. I own Hillside Bunnybarn, ARBA Registered Rabbitry #W077, which is located in Calhoun, TN.

Hillside Bunnybarn began on July 4, 2002 when a friend of mine, Joan Smith, gave me my first rabbit, a cross-breed named Rusty. My husband & I built a hutch for the backyard that could hold 4 rabbits. We decided very quickly that a barn would be needed. By Christmas I had my bunnybarn, 20 cages and pet bunnies on the way. At that time, I didn't have a clue that there was such a thing as a pedigreed rabbit. I joined ARBA in April 2003 and the pet bunnies were soon history. That summer I acquired 4 breeds, Holland Lops, Mini Lops, Mini Rex and New Zealand Reds, and began showing them that fall. In January 2005, I remodeled my barn to house 57 cages. I have since sold off all but the Holland Lops.

I would like to send a special Thanks to a few special people & to those who have helped me along the way...

First of all to Jeff, my husband, for without him none of this would be.

Roy Carlton for getting me started in Holland Lops. Tracy Lukeman, Tim Nix & Renee McBrayer for selling me some nice Hollands and giving some great advice. And to Sanders & Becky Whaley for getting me started in Mini Lops. They have since helped me more than I can mention.
